When testing connection to timing console, the following error message is encountered:
Below are five things to check:
1. Cable plugged in all the way
2. Cable plugged into port 1 on CTS timing console or correct port on other consoles
3. Timing console is turned on
4. Timing console is in Swimming
5. Correct port selected

a. Go to Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 Control Panel
i. Set View by: to Small or Large Icons
b. Go to Windows XP or Vista Control Panel
i. Select Classic View
ii. Double click System Icon
iii. Click Hardware tab
ii. Double click System Icon
iii. Click Hardware tab
c. Select Device Manager
d. Click drop-down arrow next to Ports (COM & LPT)
e. Unplug and re-plug adaptor

Note: The port that disappears and reappears is correct port number
