When setting up your meet, you must select a meet type (Set-up > Meet Set-up). Selecting the proper meet type is important for your meet to run as desired. Below are explanations of each of the different meet types.
  1. Standard
    1. When to use: Meet that does not require multi-level division scoring
  • Note: Most meets will use Standard
  1. Division by Event
    1. When to use: Athletes in each division compete in separate events
    2. Example: JV and Varsity at same meet
      1. Event Setup
        1. Event 1: JV 100 free
        2. Event 2: Varsity 100 free
      2. Scoring: Each event will have its own results/scores
  2. Division by Team
    1. When to use: Several teams from different divisions competing in same event
    2. Example: Multiple A, AA, and AAA high schools at same meet
      1. Event Setup
        1. Event 1: 100 free (A, AA, and AAA athletes all entered)
      2. Scoring: Each event will have three sets of results/scores (one for each division, i.e. 1st place for A, 1st place for AA, 1st place for AAA)
  • Note: Division by Team is rarely used. Do not select Division by Team unless you understand why you are selecting it
  1. Division by Entry
    1. When to use: Numerous divisions/classifications with multiple first places in each event
    2. Example: Disability meet
      1. Event Setup
        1. Event 1: 100 free (entries of all classifications entered)
      2. Scoring: Each event will have multiple sets of results/scores (one for each division)
  • Note: Each individual entry must be assigned a division
  1. Flighted (Swimming only)
    1. When to use: Entries are evenly divided in up to 4 groups (AKA "flights") based on athlete ranking
    • Note: Flights can be determined by rankings based on seed or result time
    1. Example: Flight A has fastest 15 athletes, Flight B has middle 15 athletes, Flight C has slowest 15 athletes
      1. Event Setup
        1. Event 1: 100 free (Flight A, B, and C athletes all entered)
      2. Scoring: Each event will have 2-4 sets of results/scores (one for each flight)
  2. Time Standard (Swimming only)
    1. When to use: Entries are split into groups based on which time standard they fit into
  • Note: Groups can be determined by seed or result time
  1. Example: A Standard are athletes faster than 05:00 time, B Standard are athletes between 05:01 and 10:00 times, C Standard are athletes slower than 10:01 time
    1. Event Setup
      1. Event 1: 100 free (A, B, and C Standard athletes all entered)
    2. Scoring: Each event will have multiple sets of results/scores (one for each time standard)

Comparisons:
  1. Division by Event vs. Division by Team
    1. Competing Together or Apart (scored separately either way)
      1. By Event: each division has its own events
      2. By Team: divisions compete together in same event
    2. What Division is Assigned to
      1. By Event: each event is assigned a division
      2. By Team: each team is assigned a division
  2. Flighted vs. Time Standard
    1. Group Size
      1. Flighted: evenly divided groups (e.g. 15 in Flight A, 15 in Flight B, 15 in Flight C)
      2. Time Standard: groups not necessarily even (e.g. 9 athletes qualify for A Standard, 13 qualify for B Standard, 10 qualify for C Standard)
    2. Dividing Factor
      1. Flighted: athlete's place/rank (e.g. 1st-14th places)
      2. Time Standard: athlete's time (e.g. 05:00-10:00 times)
