- Go to Windows Control Panel
- On upper right side of screen click on drop down box saying View by to left
- Select either Large Icons or Small Icons
- Click on Region and Language or Region icon
- Make sure under Format English (United States) is selected
- Short date MM/dd/yyy
- Click on Administrative tab
- Change system locale
- Select English (United States)
- Click OK
