When Program Coordinators are unable to add a coach or captain to their team, it is likely the Team Tennis coach/captain's background check approval has not gone through or has not been linked to their USTA account. Please follow the steps below to check if the coach/captain has passed their background check and is properly categorized:

Note: Often applicants will use different names when completing their background check. If you have trouble finding an applicant, type abbreviated names or confirm this information with the coach/captain directly
  1. Go to USTA Safe Play Background Screening Results Page
  2. Enter Last Name and First Name
  3. Click SEARCH
  4. Ensure customer is listed and under JR. TEAM TENNIS category
Once the above information is confirmed but they are still not able to access the Team Tennis homepage, the issue is likely due to their accounts. Please have them review the list of Net Generation/Safe Play FAQ. If further assistance is required, please have the Coach/Captain contact Safe Play at safeplay@usta.com with the following information to get this issue resolved:
  • First Name and Last Name
  • Coach/Captain's 16 digit NCSI Applicant ID number
  • USTA or Team Tennis ID number
  • Email address
