If you are registering for a tournament and receive an error message indicating that you do not qualify for the event, it may be due to the USTA regulation that requires players to play in a higher age division for the whole month in which their birthday takes place. This is even if the actual birth date occurs after the dates of the tournament.
  • Example: If a 12 year old turns 13 on June 19th and is playing in a tournament on June 12th, they will be required to register for the 14s division for the June 12th tournament, even though they are turning 13 after the tournament takes place.
