The separate top 4 and separate top 8 from each group function allows a Tournament Director to specify the top players in a specific group. The system will then attempt to separate these players into different quarters of the draw when scheduling. For instance, if the Separate Top 4 is selected, the Tournament Director can create specific groups of players and rank them accordingly in these groups. Once this has been completed, the system will take into consideration this functionality when making the draws. To create groups go to Create Group in TDM. To select this function please follow the steps below:
- Login to TennisLink Tournaments Homepage
- Under Administration, click My Tournaments
- Click TDM for desired tournament
- Under Event Name, select desired event
- Click Edit Event button
- In Event Properties box, choose Draw Information tab
- Under Draw Options, check box for desired functionality
- Click OK
